System Signals: the other signals
ok here is the Main Flagship SPX System origin writeup and backtests if you haven’t read it: Main Flaghsip SPX System writeup
…that main writeup gives a sense of what’s behind the system signals, so read it!
This piece will focus on the Other Signals.
Well I built an awesome risk adjusted system to swing trade the S&P 500. Why not use it on other indexes, currencies, commodities, et all?
Thats exactly what the other signals are. Using the main Flagship SPX System parameters just for different asset classes, indexes, etc.
Now to be very clear. Abundantly Clear. None of the OTHER signals have been backtested to the magnitude I did for the S&P 500. I make no claims about the Other signals being as potent as the main Flagship SPX signals.
I for awhile now have used the Other System signals as a mechanism to help with my Discretionary trading. Ie blend the system signals with my macro/quant/chart analysis to use as another solid analytical input.
I don’t trade the Other signals quite as mechanically like I do the flagship SPX system.
Thus far many have worked well in helping with that leg of the analytical stool. I’ve built up some trust with the signals, so I will take on face value, many I still use other analytical methods to get to a discretionary trade.
Below snapshot are the Indexes, Fixed income, Currencies, Commodities and Sectors I plan on keeping up to date for you.
I can change them at any point based any reason. I will of course be transparent in that thinking etc. It’s a lot to keep up with but having a bigger picture macro list/edge on all Other System Signals is a huge value add.
